Germany Doctoral PhD Scholarship Research Co-operation Scheme


The Doctoral PhD scheme is a joint initiative by the Group of Eight (Go8) Universities and the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) – Germany’s national agency for the support of international academic co-operation.The Doctoral PhD scheme supports exchanges for Go8 researchers to spend time at partner institutions in Germany and for collaborating German researchers to spend time at Go8 universities.

The Doctoral PhD scheme has two main objectives:
To foster research collaboration of the highest quality between Australian researchers from Go8 universities and German researchers.To result in research outcomes and the exchange of skills and knowledge of mutual benefit to Australia and Germany.

Full-time Postgraduate Masters Scholarships Doctoral Phd


The Doctoral Phd scholarship applies to most of our full-time, gave master classes at the University of Glamorgan in the fall of 2011, plus a range of courses offered in February 2012 recording. Doctoral PhD Scholarships


The Doctoral PhD project involves writing a dissertation on the following topic: ‘Human Rights and Human Duties: Assessing the Obligations entailed in Human Rights’.

You have an MA in Philosophy and/ or Law with a clear interest in a philosophical and conceptual approach to legal questions. Furthermore you should have excellent analytical and writing skills in English and Dutch. You have teaching skills or are willing to obtain these skills.The Doctoral PhD initial contract will be for one and a half years, which then will be renewed if the progress made under this first contract is satisfactory. An employment of 0,8 FTE is negotiable. Commencement date: 1 July (at the latest).

The Doctoral PhD research aims at the following objectives:
1. Analysing the conceptual link between human rights and human duties.
2. Developing a normative theory of human duties.
3. Proposing practical guidelines for the assessment of the legal implications of human duties.

Alongside the Doctoral PhD research, the candidate is required to make a small contribution to the teaching of the Philosophy of Law department in the Bachelor of Law programme of the Faculty of Law.

MSc/Doctoral PhD (1+3) Research Studentship A Qualitative Analysis

Scholarship Description: The School of Modern Languages of the University of St Andrews is pleased to announce its programme of three one-year scholarships, each worth £5,000, to be awarded to suitably qualified candidates from the countries listed below for the academic year 2011-2012. The primary purpose of these scholarships is to enable students to complete a oneyear taught MLitt programme. While priority may be given to students applying to the MLitt programme in Spanish and Latin American Studies, those interested in any other taught MLitt programme offered by the School of Modern Languages will be given due consideration and are also encouraged to apply. All MLitt programmes involve two consecutive semesters of taught modules plus a period of research (from the beginning of June to the end of August) devoted to writing a 15,000-word dissertation under the supervision of a full-time academic member of staff.
